First-Episode Psychosis & Early Psychosis Support
Early intervention is important when a person begins experiencing symptoms such as hallucinations, unusual beliefs or paranoia, significant changes in thinking or behavior, disorganized speech or behavior, or difficulty distinguishing what is real. Michigan has specialized Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC)/NAVIGATE programs designed for adolescents and young adults experiencing early or first-episode psychosis.

Specialized coordinated care for individuals experiencing first-episode psychosis. Services may include psychotherapy, medication management, family education/support, case management, peer services, and assistance with education and employment.

Pregnancy, Postpartum & Maternal Mental Health
Pregnancy, pregnancy loss, childbirth, infertility, and the postpartum period can be associated with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, trauma, and other mental health concerns.
National Maternal Mental Health Hotline
Free, confidential support for individuals who are pregnant, postpartum, or experiencing mental health concerns related to pregnancy and parenting.
Postpartum Support International (PSI)
Provides education, support groups, peer support, and connections to specialized perinatal mental-health resources.

Emergency symptoms, including thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, severe confusion, hallucinations, delusions, or other symptoms suggesting postpartum psychosis require immediate evaluation. Call 911, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency department.
Eating Disorders & Disordered Eating
Individuals experiencing anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), or other significant eating concerns may benefit from specialized assessment and treatment.
Treatment may involve a multidisciplinary team that includes mental-health professionals, physicians, registered dietitians, and specialized eating-disorder programs.

Mental Health Crisis, Urgent & Walk-In Services
Common Ground — Oakland County
Provides 24-hour crisis support and access to behavioral-health services. In-person crisis support is available through its Resource & Crisis Center. Common Ground also offers virtual Behavioral Health Urgent Care, often with same-day appointments.

Individuals experiencing an urgent mental health concern who do not require emergency medical intervention may contact Common Ground to determine the most appropriate level of care.
Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN)
Provides access to publicly funded behavioral-health services in Oakland County, including services for individuals with serious mental illness, children with serious emotional disturbances, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and substance-use concerns.

Michigan Community Mental Health Services Programs (CMHSPs)
Every Michigan county is served by a Community Mental Health Services Program. CMH agencies provide crisis and behavioral-health services and can help determine eligibility for publicly funded mental-health services.

Michigan Substance Use Disorder Treatment & Recovery Services
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services provides a statewide directory of substance-use treatment and recovery resources. Services may include outpatient and residential treatment, withdrawal management, medications for opioid use disorder, recovery support, harm-reduction services, and other levels of care. The Michigan SUD Provider Map allows individuals to search by location and type of service.

Naloxone (Narcan) & Opioid Overdose Resources
Naloxone is a medication that can rapidly reverse an opioid overdose. Michigan provides information about obtaining naloxone, overdose prevention, medications for opioid use disorder, and local harm-reduction programs.

Peer recovery support for individuals seeking recovery from alcohol use.

Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault & Human Trafficking
Michigan VOICES4 Hotline
Free, confidential and anonymous support for individuals affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking. Advocates are available 24/7/365 and can provide crisis counseling and referrals to local shelters, advocacy programs, and other services.

Confidential support, safety planning, information, and referrals to local domestic-violence resources.
